Library HoursMonday - Thursday 7:30-late bus (Unless we have meetings).
HOWEVER, please COME SEE ME, so I know to stay. I'm here until 2:15 usually, then if no one shows up by then, I head over to the Hadley Public Library across the street to pick up books (most likely for Ms. Saillant - ha! NOTE: The library after to school is open for research and doing homework..not playing video games or hanging with your friends, eh? Savvy? |
Hi and hello and nice to see you.
Greetings! I am your happy, HA librarian, Ms Beckett (or Ms. B). HA is awesome. I love it here. I started working here in 2018. I am available and excited to help you find a book to read, help you research, or we can just chat, if you like. We have a seriously great collection of fiction books, and an ever-growing collection of graphic novels. Of course, we have lots of nonfiction, biographies, and even children's books as well. This year I hope to purchase some books around the topic of anti-racism, democracy, and LGBTQIA. (All important stuff) I read two or three books a week, so I can give you some great recommendations according to what topics and genres you generally enjoy reading. I started teaching in 2000 and was a middle school English teacher for 17 years before earning my librarian certification. I've also taught ELL, and I earned my Master's and CAGS degrees in both ELL and education. I really like taking courses and learning new things. I also taught English in a far, far, far away village. Come ask me about it. I do hope you'll come see me. If you need help with anything, please let me know. Have a spectacular school year! Ms. B Ps. My dog is funny. He's the BEST. He's One-Eyed Captain Jack, Jack, or Puppins for short. |
